Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. “Tumbler”

25 Sep

The Pitch:

As the nights grow cool, the leaves on the valley oaks begin to turn and fall. In honor of this yearly dance, we bring you Tumbler Autumn Brown Ale and invite you to enjoy the show.

We use malt within days of roasting at the peak of its flavor to give Tumbler a gracefully smooth malt character. So pour a glass, and grab a window seat to watch as the leaves come tumbling down.

The Skinny:

What a refreshing change after the poor choices I have made recently.  This is a very nice brown ale that may appear a little over carbonated at first, but finishes very nicely with perfect carbonation.   The flavor experience starts out with roasted malts and nuttiness, while finishing with a enjoyable burnt caramel coffee nod.  The slight bitterness from the hops it what sets Sierra Nevada Brewing Co’s Tumbler apart from the rest.  The Tumbler gets a well deserved 3 out of 4 Knuckles.
